No outside food, drink or coolers.  Tailgating allowed outside in grass areas only.
Don’t want to pack up all that food for tailgating?  Get your food platters delivered right to your tailgate at the Star Center from Subway 864-949-3883 or Chick-Fil-A (864) 595-0478.  Mention that you are here for a tournament and receive a discount. Delivery times may vary.

At the Upward Stars Volleyball Center, we do not have necessary accommodations to sell concession food, but we will have outside food vendors at most of our events. Guests are not allowed to bring in their own food tables. However, they are allowed to set up outside and "tailgate" similar to the way they do at the Star Center. The volleyball center staff will remove trash on an as needed basis.  It is expected that our volleyball guests take care of and police up trash in their area.   • Cheerleading-Tumbling classes, Jumps and Condiitoning Classes

    McKenzie Bronson, a former Byrnes Cheerleader, Level 5 NCA, All Region with 20 years of experience will be teaching our classes. She can help with forward roll, back walk over to a back tuck. Come learn how to tumble, jump and stunt from the BEST! Call us at 864-949-5900 to register!

  • Stroller Rollers

    Bring your baby or young child, and prepare yourself for a circuit based exercise routine that involves the stroller, energizing music and lots of encouragement. We'll mix up running, cardio, strength and flexibility in every class. • Expect to sweat • Expect to get stronger • Expect to be challenged • Expect to be encouraged • Expect to make friends

  • Birthday Packages

    Options include: ALL-SPORT PACKAGE - Choose your sport (basketball, soccer, dodgeball, baseball, kickball or rock wall) for an hour, then party in a meeting room for an hour. Up to 20 kids included. BAZOOKA BALL PACKAGE - Basic All-Sport Package plus price of Bazooka Ball. PRINCESS THEME PACKAGE - Decorations and Castle inflatable!   • Upward Star Center Climbing Team

    Introducing the Upward Star Center Climbing Team in partnership with Climb Upstate! Designed for ages 8-18, this opportunity is $159 for 12 weeks, with a $20 discount for second child. We will offer 2 hour practices plus devotionals. Join at any time. Teams will compete in 4 seasons each year.

  • Jr. NBA World Championship Southeast Regional

    Join us for a highly competitive, diverse tournament field that includes club teams and community-based teams from the Southeast Region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. In the U.S., the Jr. NBA will host eight (8) regional tournaments during the spring and summer of 2018, consisting of round-robin competition followed by single elimination boys and girls tournaments. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) games. World Championship: Sixteen (16) boys teams and sixteen (16) girls teams will advance to play in the Jr. NBA World Championship. The teams representing each region will be separated into U.S. and international brackets that include round-robin competition followed by single-elimination boys and girls tournaments. Winners of the U.S. and international brackets will play in the boys and girls championship games. Additionally, youth at Jr. NBA World Championship events will not only compete on the court, but will also participate in off-court educational programming.

  • 29th Annual Camp of Champs Basketball Team Camp

    The Camp of Champs Team Camp is a great opportunity for teams to test their ability against top-notch talent and develop their skills for the next year's season. It is the largest and longest running team camp in SC, and this year, campers will have unlimited use of the Spartanburg Methodist College campus for housing and meals, and all 6 courts at the Star Center for much of their competition.

  • Breakthrough Basketball Skill Development Camp with NBA Development Coach, Don Kelbick!

    This camp uses the Attack & Counter Skill Development System to help you develop the KEY skills that you need to become a great basketball player. You will learn the same critical and universal skills that Don teaches to NBA players. These fundamental skills are universal for all levels. They will help you no matter what defense or offense you use. That's the great thing about fundamentals. They help you in all situations.Topics include: Footwork, Mentality, Post Moves and Finishing Inside, Perimeter Moves, Guard Play, Ballhandling, Fast Break Skills, Shooting, Screening and Cutting (Getting Open). This is for SERIOUS basketball players that want to get better. You can play games anywhere, so we focus on things you can't just pick up anywhere. We focus on developing skills that will make you better! Coaches that want to learn and pick up new drills can also observe.
