Basketball

The Upward Star Center is home to the Upward Stars Upstate basketball program as well as various adult and youth basketball leagues, basketball camps, and developmental programs. We are excited to offer Upward Sports programs with the 360 Progression ™ that strive to develop the total athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially.

  • Men's Basketball League

    The Upward Star Center’s 120,000 square-foot complex is home to 6 regulation hardwood basketball courts. Our adult leagues are split up into a competitive and recreational division. Church teams, industrial teams, and open teams are welcome to play! All games are conducted in a first class, organized, and well-officiated manner. Our adult leagues feature playoffs, an all-star game, 3 point shootout, and slam dunk contest! For more information, email scbasketball@upward.org
  • Women's Basketball League

    The Upward Star Center's Women's League is for women ages 18+ looking to compete in a 8 week season (plus playoffs). Games will be played on Monday nights at the Upward Star Center. Teams will be responsible for the $30 ref fee per game. The cost is $60 per player, and you can purchase uniforms from the Star Center for $15 each. Teams may provide their own uniforms as long as all team members are wearing the same uniforms without duplicate numbers. There will be a $10 late fee charge to anyone who is not paid in full 7 days prior to the start date. If you have any questions please email scbasketball@upward.org .
  • Organized Open Play Basketball

    Join us every Wednesday night from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm for organized basketball open play. We will have open play, pick-up play, and tournament play each week run by a star center staff member. Adult league teams can use this as a "practice night" and keep their teams together if they'd prefer. We'll have courts for middle-school, high-school, and adults. The cost is $6 per person, and everyone must check-in at the front desk.
  • Travel Teams

    Our Upward Stars Upstate basketball teams are for both guys and girls. We have levels of travel teams who play in local, regional, and national tournaments throughout the summer. This programs designed to adapt and expand with each athlete as they develop in their personal athletic journey. Browse our programs and find the one that best fits you! From camps and clinics to fall league and travel teams, Upward Stars has it all to help you to be your best!
  • Upstate Bearcats

    The Upstate Bearcats is a home school athletic organization who competes against teams in both South & North Carolina. The Bearcats are apart of the South Carolina Home School Athletic Association. The Upward Star Center serves as the home to the Upstate Bearcats. In the 2018-2019 school year, athletics will be offered in the following sports: Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Track, & Cross Country.   • Court Rentals

    Run your own practice, organize your own game, or customize an event with us at the Upward Star Center. All 6 courts (6 regulation hardwood courts with the capability to modify to 12 courts) at our state-of-the-art facility to meet your needs.

    Here is our big news! Upward Star Center has collaborated with Playsight to install 18 4K and HD camera system that allows us to livestream, record and send video of games, scrimmages, practices, AND events.
